Knotts Berry Farm

When we originally planned our trip we were gonna do two disneyland days and a beach day and then come home on saturday, but my amazing brother decided to surprise us and treat us to knotts berry farm and even got a nice hotel room for the extra night that was a few hours up the road so we didn't have to do the whole drive in one day which was so nice. Knotts was a way more chill day but so fun with tons of kiddie rides for the little ones, and of course a bigger variety of roller coasters and thrill rides for the adults. We seriously had a Blast! Thanks so much to my sweet brother for spoiling us like crazy! Here he is with Chalyn and Grant at the entrance.
This is my mom with my kids and my dad's foster sister Irma who was able to meet us for the day
Irma's daughter Ashley with Chalyn. They had lots of fun playing together.
I LOVE MY AMAZING FAMILY AND THE FUN MEMORIES WE SHARE!

Beach Day

Luke and I were in charge of figuring out which beach to go to with the family but we love Newport Beach so much that we took everybody there. They thought the ferry was way cool and it was a perfect beach day. We just grabbed Ruby's Diner from the pier for lunch and the kids had a blast playing together and relaxing after our last two crazy days. That night we went back to downtown disney to do our souvenir shopping and eat. We had ESPN Zone food and i was so unimpressed with the food and everything else so we most likely won't be going back. Afterward we went back to the condo to watch the fireworks out the window. I kinda wish we would have been at Disneyland to watch them but really the kids probably didn't care.
Luke Jason and Brian had a blast in the huge waves. This is Jason on the left and Luke on the right
Beck couldn't care less about the water or sand castles, he just loves to chase the birds.
My sweetheart!
When got back to the condo we went to the pool to get all of the sand out of our swimsuits and we left a huge pile of it in the baby pool. Ha Ha oh well!

california adventure day

To be honest I think most of us were just as excited about California adventure as we were about Disneyland especially with the new cars land addition. Our kids had seen the commercial for radiator springs racers and were soooo excited. We got there that morning and the line was huge to get a fast pass so we decided to just wait in the regular line when in came time to ride it. So we did lots of other rides first, like soaring over California, The little mermaid ride (which was a huge hit with a certain little girl i know), roller coasters, and best of all the toy story ride, all before lunch time. Right after eating we headed to cars land hoping that everyone else would be eating, and we did pretty good. The line was about forty five minutes but well worth it and we were able to do the swap pass for the others who stayed with the babies. It is AMAZING how good of a job Disney does on everything and i realized this the most with cars land. It was so realistic and the kids were completely ecstatic about seeing the life size mater and lightning McQueen. I have to say i was pretty darn ecstatic too after seeing them and hearing their voices and everything. After cars land was the parade and once again we got super lucky with our spots. It was at a skinny place so nobody was sitting in front of us and I don't know why but almost every character that was walking and giving high fives came right up to our kids. They got so so much attention which was fun. The only bad thing about our day was that while we had been watching the world of color show at the end of the day, they had technical difficulties and couldn't continue the show after about ten minutes. We were kinda bummed cause we had heard it was wonderful, but we were all pretty exhausted so it was okay. This first picture is of my brother Jason with all of the kids. They had picture mattes that they had all the characters sign and it ended up being really fun for them.
This was waiting in line for Toy Story. Little did we know we were about to go on our absolute favorite ride! seriously its so fun!
My super cute parents were such good sports to deal with all of us the whole time. It made it even more special that we got to share all the memories with them!
a pic of cars land. It's so realistic!
The little crazies waiting to meet lightning mcqueen
Meeting lightning mcqueen and mater was definitely the highlight of the whole trip for Beck. It was darling seeing his excitement!
we did get pics with mater but they are on my phone

Grant and Carter love the "green army guys" and got to high five this one!
This is by far the best group shot we got the entire trip and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Back at the condo all the kids crashed on Uncle Jasons bed to wind down for the night.

Disneyland!!

We have been talking about and planning and dreaming about Disneyland for a long long time and all I can say is that it completely surpassed every hope and expectation we had for it. It was amazing! I have been a couple other times but this is the first time we've taken our kids. We went with my sister Janeece and her family, my parents, and my oldest brother Jason. We rented a condo right across from Disneyland so it was nice to be so close and just be able to walk back and forth to the park, and also it was nice to have lots of room with a kitchen and laundry and everything. It made it super convenient. We met up with my family Tuesday evening and went to Disneyland on Wednesday. My kids LOVED EVERY SECOND of it and were soooo happy the entire day. They didn't even get ornery or irritated like I thought they would, and it probably helped that we didn't really have lines. We were able to do pretty much every ride that we wanted to and our longest wait was twenty minutes so it was perfect. I think my favorite part was the parade and of course chalyn about peed her pants every time she saw a princess. Beckham probably liked the dumbo ride or the buzz lightyear ride the most and Luke was happy with all the big rides so it made for lots of happy campers. There are tons of pics of course.
I think it helped to have fun cousins to wait in line with.
The jungle cruise was a nice cool relaxing break in the afternoon.
We seriously had THE BEST spot to watch the parade. We had benches to sit on and we were in the shade and also front row. Lucky huh!
The floats are amazing!
Chalyn and her grandpa
Mickey and Minnie's float
The Princesses yay
Who doesn't love the tea cups? I know we sure did... a few times:)
Now for princess overload. It was so fun to see how excited she was and to see just how sweet they are to the kids. It made it really special for Chalyn and I don't think she will soon forget.
Chalyn and Grandma shooting on the Buzz ride
She never got sad or whiny she just zonked out close to the end of the day. Cute huh

California part one

For almost a year we've been planning on a California trip with my family to take the kids to Disneyland but a couple of weeks before we left we were talking to Lukes brother Kiley and decided to fly down early to spend a few days with him. Greatest Idea Ever! We flew down on Friday night and my family didn't join us until Tuesday Evening so we had a few days of really good R&R (and a little shopping too) to kick of our vacation. The kids did perfect on the plane thank heavens, and we had a fun experience with the pilot. He was walking on the plane right behind us and invited my kids to come in the cockpit when we boarded. We took a few pics and he went out of his way to make it a special experience for my kids. He later came over the speaker and said "Chalyn and Beckham put on your seatbelts cause we are about to take off" and then said something to them again when we were landing. It was super cute! Kiley picked us up from the airport and we just headed to bed when we got to his house. Saturday we went to Balboa Island and the Newport Beach area. We started with yummy lunch at the restaurant he works at and then Luke and I and the kids rode the ferry across to the beach. We played for a couple of hours and then went back across to the island when Kiley got off of work to go shopping at all of the darling shops. Kiley spoiled Chalyn and bought her two adorable dresses at the cutest kids store (that is waaaayyy out of my price range might I add :) We had ice cream and then went home to get cleaned up for dinner. Every time we go Kiley plans our entire trip around amazing food. He LOVES amazing food and restaurants and i certainly can't complain. We went to dinner and hung out at Target that night. Sunday we slept in and went back down to the island for breakfast and did a little more shopping at fashion island before getting ready for our nice dinner. We went to Ruth's Chris steak House which was amazing food and really just a nice time. Monday consisted of breakfast at a yummy bakery, lots of shopping, mani's and pedi's, lunch at my favorite place Yard House, did I mention shopping, and watching Snow White and the Huntsman. Tuesday before meeting my family we got to take the kids swimming at the community pool which we had to ourselves which was nice. Kiley is always sooo amazing and spoils us like crazy. My kids absolutely adore him and he is so beyond sweet and generous with them. It was nice to have a few chill days before our major theme park days.... which will be my next post :) This first pic is at the curb of the airport. The kids were super excited to fly again.
Luke and Beck were partners and me and Chalyn were partners.

playing at the beach is always a blast but both of the kids got swept under the water again which always completely freaks me out! You'd think i would have learned my lesson about that already!
