Our Easter Fun!

We got back from our San Diego trip Friday around five p.m. and everyone was coming over to my moms to do our annual egg coloring at five thirty, so we jumped right into it. On Saturday my entire family and my mom's brother's family went up to Enterprise reservoir to picnic and play. We had yummy food, had an egg hunt for the kids, rolled our eggs down a hill and played our egg toss game. We always have so much fun together as a family, and Easter was no exception. We made it home to Cedar that night and Sunday was a nice relaxing day with the kids getting their baskets filled by the Easter bunny, going to church, and being lazy. As usual I had a hard time choosing pics so there are tons again.

Beckham was sure excited to color eggs with his cousins.

Chalyn's getting really good at things like this. She doesn't need much help anymore and she doesn't make giant messes. It kinda makes me sad really that she doesn't need me as much.

Playing in the back of the truck.

We only rode the vroom vroom for a tiny bit but he loved every second.

Picnic time

We made all the kids line up to start the egg hunt. Thats the only way we get a pic of all of them.

They always get so spoiled at these things.

Or for Beck, throwing eggs down the hill

Chalyn and my niece Macey

This sign was right outside the bedroom door where they saw it first thing along with the jelly bean trail that lead them to their easter basket.

Beckham was so happy to see candy first thing in the morning. He sat down and started shoveling them in his mouth.

Finding all the loot

She is so happy to have her very own umberella.

Beck and his mater

seriously love Beckhams smile in this pic.

We always have a huge jelly bean hunt too so here they are collecting them from all over the house.

San Diego Day 1

Me and the kids were lucky to get to go with my sister and her family, my parents, and oldest brother Jason to San Diego last week for a little get away. Since Luke's job is still pretty new he decided he better not ask for the week off, so we missed him like crazy but still had an amazing vacation. We did so many fun things while we were down there, my kids were angels in the car, and we seriously couldn't have asked for better weather. These are some pictures of our first full day there. I'm ticked that I don't have our pictures from that mornings activities i used my moms camera so I will have to get them from her and post them later. we went to old towne and the mormon battalion museum which was way cool. They had a super fun kids area where they could pan for gold and build things. Then that afternoon we headed to Coronado beach for the rest of the day.

Our arrival! I LOVE the Beach!

Chalyn and my Mom. They spent so much time collecting sea shells and Chalyn is obsessed with them.

This is when Jason scooped Beck out of the water. My mom was holding his and my nephew Carter's hand when a huge wave came up and about knocked them all over. My mom was able to hold onto Carter but Beckham went under. Luckily Jason was right there too to scoop him up. I gotta admit it scared me to death and Beck too. He wouldn't go near the water the rest of the trip, which was just fine by me after that scare.

Me trying to warm him up and calm him down. He was so covered in sand.

I wish this pic wasn't so dark, but I thought i'd put it up anyways cause i like it.

She always wants to be buried in the sand.

My cute parents! They were so helpful the entire trip. I definitely couldn't have survived with my two kids without them.

San Diego Day 2

Day 2- We got up and headed to the area around the san dieo zoo. Just outside the zoo is a street area that has lots of different museums and attractions and we decided it would be fun to go to the model train museum. It was super packed since it was free day for county residents but it was still worth it. Beck is obsessed with trains so of course he was happy, and everybody else had a good time too. We also let the kids ride the little train that was riding around outside as well as the carousel.

She loved her dalmatian horse

I wasn't sure how Beck would do but of course he loved the ride too.

I had to take this pic because he stopped and watched the fire truck for like five minutes. Right after this the truck pulled away and all the firemen rolled down there windows and waved while they turned on their lights. The kids thought they had died and gone to heaven, and we probably could have done nothing the rest of the trip and they would have been happy. I was so grateful to the firemen for taking the time to be so sweet to my kids!

Grant Chalyn and Carter watching the trains.

I think Beck is taking after my dad. They both love model trains and probably had the best time!

Chalyn being a train on the track.

Boarding the train.

That afternoon Beckham totally crashed and my parents stayed with him while Jason and I took the other kids to the pool at Janeeces hotel. It was perfect because they had a kids wading pool so I got to just lay out without worrying about the kids too much.

San Diego Day 3

We started off day 3 the best way possible... with shopping! We went downtown to seaport village to shop around and eat. They have the funnest shops and I seriously could have spent SOOO much money, but I refrained and only bought the kids a fun toy. I love that its right on the water and the weather was beautiful.

Checking out the boats when we first got there.

My parents and oldest brother Jason with all of the kids.

This is right in the middle of all the shops at seaport village. My kids loved chasing the pigeons around.

After we were finished shopping we walked over to the park next to seaport village to play for a bit and Beck crashed. Doesn't he look so sweet?

Chalyn with my sisters little boys climbing.

After seaport we decided to head up to La Jolla. This is Jason and my kids checking out all the seals on the beach. Beckham didn't even notice them down there for like twenty minutes cause he was so busy watching a pigeon.

we walked out on this bridge thingy and you can get super close to the seals. Pretty cool. The only bad part is that the slats on the rails are just wide enough for mischievous four year old little girls to climb through. I was a whole two feet away from her and looked over to see her walking along the backside, with a huge drop below her. Needless to say I freaked!

Beck is doing some crazy sand dance. After falling under a couple days before, he wouldn't even get close to the water

Little farmer man on the beach!

La Jolla is super close to the San Diego Temple so we ended our day there. The landscaping seemed so much different than i remember, but it is gorgeous.

Grandpa trying to keep up with Beck.

San Diego Day 4 Sea World

Thursday was day four of our trip and we got to spend the day at sea world! I never could have imagined how much my kids would love it. We are taking them to Disneyland in the fall and I really don't know if they will even like it as much as sea world. They were glued to the shows and sat there through all of them without making a peep besides oohs and ahhhs. It was so fun to be there with them and was so nice to have the help from my family. Here are some of my favorite pics. I seriously took so so many.

I love when I can catch a picture of them together.

Beck in awe of the beluga whale.

Even if I do catch them together they are never looking at the same time!

Waiting for the dolphin show which is mine and Chalyn's favorite. The only thing that could have made it better would have been having Luke there with us.

The Dolphins

The Shamu show! It really is so amazing!

Chalyn absolutely loved the dolphins!

"Where fishy go?" Beck watching the orcas.

Watching the Whales.

After sea world we were looking for a restaurant that was close by and Janeece found a mexican place with great reviews so we headed there. As we got closer and closer the area got scarier and scarier and I wondered if we had crossed the border at some point. We pulled up and it looked like the biggest dive so we about pulled away but my brother in law and brother decided to check it out and came back and said we should just try it so we did. Me and the kids got three HUGE plates of food with drinks for $12 and seriously it was AMAZING! It was authentic and oh so yummy and I will definately be going back again, just with Luke and his pistol next time:)

It sure was easy to get them to go to sleep that night.
